Are you fed up with your bad habits which are getting you nowhere on the golf course. Bad habits are easy to learn but not so easy to get out of. It's like anything, if you pick up bad habits then you are doomed for disaster. Now is the time to try and overcome your bad habits and start putting into practice the good ones so that, soon, they will become as natural as riding a bike, so to speak.
OK so your golf game is going no where, you are out on that golf course once a week, if not more, and you feel you should be improving, but your not! Why, you ask yourself, you are definitely putting in the hours. Once a week you get out of bed bright and early, don your golfing clothes and pack up your car with your golf clubs. Off you go to the golf course, meet up with your golfing buddies and out onto the course. All going well so far! You place your tee and carefully put your ball on it, take your first swing and it's the same story as always... just not the shot you were hoping for.
So let us see what we can do about this. First you have to work out where you are going wrong. Finding the problem is of utmost importance. Once you have worked out where you are going wrong with your swing shots then you can start to improve them. Take a very critical look at yourself, to keep saying, it just wasn't my day wont help you in solving the problem. If you really want to find out where you are going wrong, ask one of your friends to video you taking your shot then you can play this back and see what mistakes you are making. Once you have found the problem then you can start to solve it.
Analyse your shot from your first approach to the ball to the last second of your follow through. Be very honest with yourself. If the approach is good but the follow through isn't so good then that's what you have to change, if its your down swing then work on that. Watch other players to see how well they master the part of your swing that you are not happy with and start to use their techniques. There is a lot of help out there, friends, internet and videos. Take advice from these sources and practice what they show you. You will soon be on your way to taking only the best swing shots and your bad habits will soon be forgotten. Happy golfing!!
